BEDROOM STORIES

"I love sleep. My life has a tendency to fall apart when I`m awake, you know."

Ernest Hemingway

Good old Ernest Hemingway, of course he is right. Sleep deprivation will, sooner or later, lead to disasters. Directly because we take bad decisions as a result of the brain is tired, but also indirectly because a number of body functions is affected by your sleep deprivation. *

HOW TO GET IN BED IN TIME

The problem is that too many of us find it too difficult to crawl under the covers when the evening arrives. My best advice is to make it pleasurable. For me it's about creating an aesthetic whole of good choice of materials, and my own awareness.

CHOICE OF MATERIALS

Varied texture and limited use of color adds excitement without making things messy.
Burnt wood, eco friendly limepaint, and soft linen in various color shades.

Did you know your skin is your largest organ? Considering how many hours we spend between the bed sheets every night, more or less naked, it is kind of important what kind of sheets you wrap your body in. I prefer linen. Linen regulates the temperature and never feels humid. Moreover, it is to some extent self-cleaning so you do not need to wash it as often. When I do, I choose a gentle, environmentally friendly detergents, and as often as I can I will let them out to dry. It's the best feeling to lie down in bed linens that have been kissed by sun and wind. (You can read more about the wonderful material linen here.) We always sleep with the window open, fresh air is essential for good night sleep

Our bedroom is a good room for rest. On those days where it feels like theres no point in anything, all I can do is to crawl under the covers, waiting for sleep to get me, and hope that tomorrow will be better ...
