PHOTOGRAPY WORKSHOP WITH JOANNA MACLENNAN

THE ART OF SLOW PHOTOGRAPHY

Slow Design Studio has the great pleasure of inviting you to a workshop in "The art of Slow Photography" with the French / British Interior- and Art Photographer Joanna Maclennan. The workshop will take place in the magic venues of Ceramic artist Ragnhild Wik.

Perfecting the art of composition and lightning to create beautiful still life images is challenging. If you do get it right you will have a powerful expressive art form.

Joanna is a well-established and widely used interior and still life photographer. Joanna believes in taking her time to achieve the perfect shot. She is faithful to her Hasselblad camera, but has also embraced digital photography, still working on medium format and 35 mm. On her customer list you will find many highly acknowledged magazines such as The World of Interiors, Milk Magazine, Christie's Interiors and Elle Decoration (to name a few). She has been contributing to several interior books.

The amazing facilities of  Ragnhild Wik (Wik Oslo) is the perfect setting for creating visual magic. It has that wonderful feeling of authenticity that only old wooden floors and slanted, cracked brick walls can give. A large skylight provides floods of natural light, and the beautiful ceramics of Ragnhild are grateful photo objects.

13th OF AUGUST - SAVE THE DATE

Monday, 13th of August is the date.  We will host two workshops this day. One during work hours (10.00-14.00)  and one in the afternoon (17.00 - 21.00).

The workshop will be divided in two parts. Part one will be a theory session,  where Joanna will give an overall introduction to basic understanding of photography, light and composition. This will be followed by a practical session where we`ll get to work on our own styling and photography under guidance of Joanna. Individual feedback will be given.

There is no need to have a lot of experience with photography and advanced cameras to participate, but a basic understanding of photography is desirable.  In addition to a wonderful experience in stunning surroundings we aim to arm you with a few basic skills to take your interior shots to the next level.

The workshop will be held in a small group of maximum 10 people  and there will be 1-1 help to answer individual needs. As Joanna doesn’t  speak Norwegian the workshop will be held in English.  You will need to bring your own camera.

Light refreshments will be served.

Price for each of the two workshop is NOK 1800,-
(Please note this is non refundable).
There are only ten spots for each of the two sessions. Please register below. (remember to choose which session you would like to book (tidspunkt)).
For questions please feel free to send me an e-mail.
