COLLECTING IMPERMANENSE

A photograph is many things. It is light and shadow, it is a photographer's vision, a visual narrative and a time witness. It can be documentation, or proof that something has taken place, but it can also be an illusion. No matter with which gaze or understanding one considers a photograph, it is a glimpse into a time that already at the moment the photographer pressed the shutter, became a thing of the past.

Photography is perhaps the impossible art of collecting impermanense.

MEETING THE MASTERS

Would you not love to know how they made many of the finest moments the world has seen?

Over the past year, I have had the pleasure of working on an exciting project, a worldwide membership forum for photography enthusiasts. The forum is called MEET WORLD PHOTOGRAPHERS and they keep their promise. As a member here, you get weekly stories, tips, movies from many of the world's best photographers. You might even get the opportunity for personal coaching or feedback on your own work by some of them.

The founders are two Norwegians named Anne Lise Flavik and Katrine Adler-Gjerde. They both have a long career and a lot of experience from different parts of the photographic industry. Now they travel the globe to interview and engage master photographers from all corners of the world. It is really a great achievement to gather so many famous names for this, which is now becoming a fairly unique portal for photo enthusiasts.

Throughout the start-up phase I have designed the logo and profile and contributed with advice on strategy for the platform. Learning about photography, and greater insight into some photography's many secrets has been a gratifying perk during the process.

Another joy is this opportunity to share the insight with you by offering you one full month of free membership in Meet World Photographers.
